A kitten was found trying to climb into a house. She was thrilled when someone picked her up and changed her life.

On Christmas Eve, a kitten was found climbing windows, trying to get into a house, but no one came to claim her.
Wilma, a volunteer for Eliannie Animal Rescue, learned about the kitten from an acquaintance and stepped in to help. “The woman who contacted me was very concerned about the kitten’s future and safety. The rescue I foster for immediately said ‘Yes’ to entering her into the rescue,” Wilma shared with Love Meow.
“Within an hour, Eve (the kitten) was delivered to my door.”

Longing for a home, the kitten instantly turned into a happy purring “biscuit-maker.” “She was loving and cuddly from the moment I got her.”
Eve was very dirty and slightly underweight but otherwise in good health. After a much-needed bath, she curled up in a soft towel and dozed off contentedly.

“The first few days, she was almost always on my lap. I carried her around in my sweatshirt with a cat pouch. After a few days, she figured out what toys were and started branching out to other napping spots.”
“She’s incredibly affectionate, loves to cuddle and be held.”

Eve devoured her food as if there was no tomorrow, worried about when she’d eat again. As much as she adored snuggling in the cozy cat pouch, the moment she saw another cat eating, she’d dart out to get their food.
“Especially at the beginning, she couldn’t get enough to eat.”
She was very hungry and came with a voracious appetiteWilma
“She cries every time I put her down and jumps into my lap as soon as I sit. She’s got a big round belly now. I’m so grateful to her finder that she’s in a warm, safe place now.”
Slowly but surely, Eve realized she’d never be lonely or go hungry again. She even learned to sneak a snack from the resident cat by hoovering up all the stray kibbles.

Eve was a star at her first vet visit. She allowed the staff to care for her while soaking up all the attention. With her confident, affectionate nature and squeaky meows, she charmed everyone she met.
After a long day of play and good food, Eve settled on Wilma’s lap for a snooze. “She’s perfection, other than trying to steal food out of my mouth.”

The kitten has blossomed into a playful bundle of energy, scampering around, pouncing on toys, and following her foster mom like a little shadow.
The resident cat, Georgie, was a bit unsure about Eve at first, but her sweet nature and eagerness to share his food quickly won him over. “She is very helpful when it comes to food cleanup.”

Eve has taken a keen interest in the office desk, offering a paw in every task. She tests all the pens by batting them around and thoroughly inspects the paper and Post-it notes, acting as her foster mom’s diligent little assistant.
Once she is tired from all the hard work, she stretches out on Wilma’s lap for a quick recharge.

The kitten who once tried to get into someone’s house now has a warm lap to sit on every day, a resident cat to show her the ropes, and boundless food to enjoy.
