The Yellowstone season five mid-season finale left a lot to speculate for what is to come for the rest of the season.
While the episode had a lot to unpack, fans couldn’t help but recognize one familiar face in the background.
Rodeo star Dale Brisby made a cameo appearance in Yellowstone season 5, episode 8. While Brisby may not have had a speaking part, he was able to show off some of his roping skills.
Brisby appeared in the background of 6666 Ranch when several important characters were having a conversation.

Who is Dale Brisby?
Dale Brisby is a rodeo competitor, YouTuber/social media star and ranch manager at Radiator Ranch Cattle Company. He is also the star of the Netflix series How to Be a Cowboy.
Brisby has grown to be an internet sensation, with 949K followers on Instagram and 44.5K followers on Twitter. His YouTube channel, @DaleBrisbyBullRider, has 416K followers. Brisby is popular for posting comedic cowboy skits on social media.
Brisby’s real name is Clint Hopping and he received his Master’s degree in Agriculture from Texas A&M in 2011.
While Brisby has gained fame from his show How to Be a Cowboy, he says his true love remains the outdoors and rodeo.
Brisby has found moderate success on the rodeo circuit competing in bull riding. He got his start in rodeo at a young age, beginning with riding sheep before graduating to steers and bulls. He also competed in college rodeo and his passion for rodeo continues on through his channel “Rodeo Time.”
Brisby also has his own line of merchandise named Dale Wear. His merchandise includes T-shirts, ball caps, patches, and coffee mugs that feature his face and catchphrases.

Dale Brisby’s fans took to social media to share their excitement about seeing him appear in Yellowstone.
In fact, many fans had eagerly been hoping that the Brisby would make an appearance on the hit series for quite some time.

Brisby also had some things to say on Instagram about his Yellowstone cameo. “I’m like the star of the show. It’s what everybody’s talking about this morning. Don’t worry, I’m not going to let it get to my head,” said the social media star.

Will Dale Brisby Return to Yellowstone?
Dale Brisby’s cameo on Yellowstone caused quite a stir of excitement, but there is no indication as to whether or not the star will be returning to the show. However, Brisby did say on Instagram “I am on the show already and there are more episodes…”
Will There Be a Second Season of How to Be a Cowboy?
There is no official confirmation as to when season two of How to Be a Cowboy will premiere or if there will even be a second season at all. However, there are speculations that the second season will drop sometime in August 2023.
Season one of How to Be a Cowboy premiered on Netflix on September 1, 2021. The first season consisted of six episodes varying in length from 20 to 26 minutes. The show follows Dale Brisby as he teaches the cowboy lifestyle to others.
